On the afternoon of May 14, more than a hundred students and teachers from College of Art, Marxism, Economical Management, Big Data and Architecture watched the red-theme educational public lectureThe Long March was assembled from Yudu, which was organized by the organizing committee of the 10th National College Digital Art & Design Awards.
It was a special lecture onthe New Long March with New Cultural Creative Design in Yudu Countyin this competition. This lecture, starting with the questionWhy Does the Long March Assemble and Depart From Yudu, showed the historic background, laborious process and spirit in the march. It aimed to lead young students to think how to finish the long march of life.
This lecture causedenthusiastic responses and strong resonance between teachers and students.Everyone agreed that young peopleshouldlearn theLongMarch spiritwith lofty ideals and firm faith, and with belief that the cause of communism would win. It was important to seekthe truth in practicecombining thetheory and practice. Participating students saidtheyhada more clear and accurate understandingof the Long March Spirit, which wouldencouragethem to prepare for the competition more precisely. Instructors expressed their resolution to guide students to create and mix ideological and political education into curricula. Counselors thought this lecture played a role in improve students’ideological and political work and would put what they learned today into practice, constantly improving the political position, ideological consciousness and ability of ideological and political work in university.
Currently, the competition is held tensely and orderly. College of Art as the organizer in Shanxi Division takes theXi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Eraas guide, combining ideological and political education with courses, competition, practice in order to guide young students to inherit the red gene and firm ideal concept, writing the story of new era.
After the lecture, the organizing committee together with Memorial Hall of the Long March of the Central Red Army issued certification for students participating this online lecture. The competition as A-class national college competition will continue to focus on poverty alleviation, rural revitalization, red history publicity until late June.
